Chasing Cars
Tired, mellowed, surrounded by news of the destruction of the Christchurch earthquake and the bloodshed in Libya, only weeks from the chaos in Egypt and the destructions of Queensland by the Cyclone Yasi and the big flood, doesn't make your days feel any better. Is there a pattern here? If it's not man-led, then it's mother nature. Ahhh...too 'tepu' nowadays to comment. My favourite Snow-patrol's song convey it all - my 'feeling' of the week. For awhile I wish everybody could "...lie with me and just forget the world".
But life goes on. As John Lennon sang to his son: "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans". For the moment, if prayers is all that I am capable of, then I pray that all those affected by the destruction and chaos out there well and all the assistance they need.

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life
Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads
I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we’re told
Before we get to old
Show me a garden that‘s bursting into life
All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world
