Luqman is supposed to take his second round of shots last week. We marked the calendar and arrived at the immunisation services weekly venue on time, only to be told that the council (Banyule) will no longer immunise babies and children with no Medicare Card. OSHC Insurance card no longer suffice for the service. (What?!) Aliyah & Uwais finished all their immunisation schedule with Banyule previously, and we didn't even show the cards last year. So we were rather suprised. They asked us to visit our GP instead for immunizing the baby.

I immediately called the GP to confirm whether OSHC will cover immunisation services and Alhamdulillah, the GP said YES! Anyway, a friend informed us that another council, Darebin seem to provide the service for free as usual. Since we are living at the border of both councils (Banyule & Darebin), we decided to ask them about it in detail, informing them that I am an international student and all. They said 'noy problem' :-)) and booked us for an appointment on Wednesday. So finally we got through with it. Even both of us (the parent) got a jab each for protection against whooping cough ha..ha..ha anak beranak kena. Yg selamat Uwais jer :-)

Anyway, Luqman didn't take the shots well. He was wailing for awhile, I think more so because of the shock of feeling pain, rather than the pain from the jab itself. Kesian...sungguh pilu dia nangis. But then again it's only for a while. Then he just sat in his car seat quitely, till we reached home. Good on him!

The happiest person of the day would be - Uwais with his free lollipop!
